My new favorite musician! I love her music (all original), voice and guitar playing. Check out her latest release which she produced and performed herself at the website below. She is definately a talent deserving wider recognition. Look for more news here and on her website about her upcoming recording being put together here in New Mexico and in London, England. I begged her to let me play on this recording and she finally relented (probably to get me off her back, there is a good chance it will probably end up on the cutting room floor!). TED KLUM HANDCRAFTED FOCUS TONE TENOR MOUTHPIECE

The great musician and mouthpiece maker Ted Klum has come out with a metal tenor mouthpiece that is truly out of this world! Ted custom made one for me that I am currently playing exclusively. I think these are the best mouthpieces on the market, with out a doubt. Tenor saxophonist Craig Handy is also playing one. Since they just became available (less than 100 made so far), only Roberto's in NYC, Bob Ackerman in NJ and Ishimori in Tokyo are presently carrying them. DOUG LANDS ENDORSMENT DEAL WITH P. MAURIAT SAXOPHONES

Doug has been playing the "System 76" and "Swing 66" tenor saxophones by the P. Mauriat Saxophone Company since they sent the "76" to him to try July 1st, 2006. "I literally took it on a gig the first night, along with the horn I have been playing for sometime, and after a couple of numbers it was evident that the P. Mauriat projected better, had a warmer more centered tone and better intonation. I put the other horn in it's case and I have been playing the P. Mauriat ever since, including the opening night concert of the New Mexico Jazz Festival which was recorded live. Recently they sent me the copper body "Swing 66" and it has an even richer tone than the "76". I highly recommend these horns made of annealed, hand-hammered French brass, and in the 'Swing 66's' case, copper and brass!" - DL
